Fred Dedrick was born and raised in Miami, Florida. The son of divorced parents, and having gone through his own divorce, Fred is intimately familiar with the psychological, emotional and financial consequences of divorce. Now remarried and the Father of two step-children, he is acutely aware of the effects of divorce and currently deals with the day-to-day difficulties (and sometimes benefits) of living as an extended divorce family, which is becoming more and more common in our society.
Mr. Dedrick attended The University of Florida for his undergraduate studies, graduating with a degree in Finance, with Honors. He graduated from Law School, also at UF, in 1987, and began practicing family law in Bethesda, Maryland immediately thereafter. Two years later, he returned to his roots and began practicing family law in Miami. In 1992, Fred moved to Broward where he still resides today. The practice of family law has been a significant part of Mr. Dedrick’s practice for more than 25 years, and has been his sole area of practice for nearly the past decade.
In addition to his litigation practice, Fred was certified in Family Mediation in 2002. His life experience and professional experience make him the ideal mediator for your family case.
